As the Managing Director of North Kingdom Group I would like to say that it is a tremendous pleasure to see that this team has developed into what it is today. I still can clearly remember how I started this team from scratch and now we are having 80 people in the team and we operated from 3 different location in Jakarta and we keep growing from strength to strength.
I am proudly say that I have trained 2 of my business partner up into management Level in the space of 3 years and now they are succesfully running their own marketing office. All together we have proved that the system works, where we trained different people that come to our location from different background but they have achieved the same success.
It is not finish yet, it just get started, I’m still looking for more future business partners. Business partner that have the same energy and enthusiasm, business partner that have professionalism and same vision with the team to grow in the company and expand through all over Indonesia.
I worked as a Marketing Communication Supervisor in Telecommunication industry. My responsibility was to arrange different kind of marketing and branding channels from the company. I also was in charge in arranging events for publicity of the company. Every time I did a good job, my Regional Manager got the credits for it, not me, though I was the one who worked really hard.
My assessor has a very good communication skills and I really wanted to learn it. Besides that, the team has a really fun environment and as a team, we had lots of fun in the field. I never had that before and that is what makes me come back after 2nd interview. I have been in this business for almost 3 years. I start working in this company on June 5th, 2010. I got promoted to Ownership on March 22nd, 2011.
My 1st day on the field is one of some unforgettable experiences. I was very nervous so that I even could not stop anyone. This was a very new experience for me and I never did this before. After spending 90 minutes on the field, finally I could stop one person and apparently she works for client. She stopped and listened to me and she said that I am doing a good job. I felt very embarrassed, but I still keep on trying and I made it. But it is really my parents that motivates me every single, I always want to give the best for my parents. My best five tips for new guys in the business be patient; give yourself time to learn about this, learn a lot from all the best examples in the office, enjoy the process; do not focus on results, get out from your comfort zone; learn new things, and have fun! RC Corp goal for the rest of 2013 are to promote 2 new Branch Managers, to promote 2 new to Team Leaders, and 60 guys on a team with 35 leaders.
It’s all started from answering a job vacancy advertisement which stated one of the job requirements are “love travelling” and “having fun”. Only one thing came to my mind, what sort of job that can define those two words? Finally I gathered my gut to respond to the job vacancy advertisement, even though I am totally an anti-sales person!
But when I got the call for the second interview it was 180% different from the impression that I heard and I see so far about the “Sales People”. I went to the field with Utara and perceived a professional concept but yet still in fun way, it’s all carried out by young professionals! It’s been 3 years since I join this company and now I have been given an opportunity and trust to expand this business throughout new distribution channel: Residential Divisions. My goals for the next two years are to open up new branch offices outside Jakarta and to open new division in credit and telecommunication area. All begin with a dream however it’s our duty to make it happen. For you who are joining this business, one thing from me “Keep on DREAM-inc and make it happen”.
